WildStar business model revealed

Jeremy "Gaffer" Gaffney posted a blog on the official WildStar website concerning the business models they will be using in the sales of their upcoming game. No, that was not a typo. WildStar will have a business model, which is in fact, a combination of two business models. This kind of model is rather unique, but all players should like it, those, which just want to subscribe to the game and those who hesitate when it comes to paying the subscription.

You must firstly, buy the game. Either the real box or through their web shop, a digital version. Once activated, you gain 30 days of free game-time along with the game license. Hit Read More.

Regular subscription
This is just another subscription model we all love/hate. The more game-time you buy at once, the cheaper it gets. Classic. See below to compare the prices and savings.

C.R.E.D.D. - Certificate of Research, Exploration, Destruction, and Development
C.R.E.D.D. is and item which can be bought online through the WildStar web shop with real money. Once acquired in-game, its purpose is that whoever activates it, will gain the game-time the C.R.E.D.D. is linked to. This opens variety of features, for both players selling C.R.E.D.D and those buying it. Selling players will use this as a legit way of buying gold, while the buying players will use this to avoid actually spending real money of their own.

Sum up:

How will C.R.E.D.D. affect subscription paying players and gold sellers?
Well, I think this illustration from the official website explains it pretty well:
